Solstice, or the longest light c. open rehearsal of an inclusive theater performance
Shakespeare A midsummer night's dream c. the adaptation of his comedy reimagines the storyline of the Wizards in the interpretation of players living with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. What happens when the Great Opportunity arrives in the lives of people living with handicaps? Can they rise to the unexpected challenge or will they rewrite the well-known scenario of failure? The search for a way for the subjugated and the despised – literally, as the Sentivánéj forest hides and then absorbs those wandering in it – draws an interesting parallel with the relationship between people with intellectual disabilities and mainstream society.
Those interested can watch an open rehearsal before the presentation on December 13.
